Charter a Private Jet to Dubrovnik

By private jet to the Adriatic Pearl

Regardless of whether you are visiting Dubrovnik for the first time or the hundredth, the sense of wonder never fails to descend when you set eyes on the beauty of its old town. Indeed, it’s hard to imagine anyone becoming tired by the city’s limestone streets, baroque buildings and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic Sea.

Dubrovnik is located in southern Croatia on the Adriatic Sea, at the western side of Montenegro, south of Bosnia and Herzegovina and almost directly across Vieste in Italy. The city is in close proximity of the beautiful southern Croatian islands such as Korcula and the island of Mljet national park.

The city has a busy main harbour as well as a minor one for yachts and smaller ships.

What to do in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is an ancient city with a rich history, known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”. One of the first things we would recommend doing to get an idea of the steep size of the city is to take the cable car to the top of Mount Srdj (sunrise or sunsets are the best times for the most stunning views). If you’re feeling courageous, you can also hike your way up to the top. When you come back down, you can take the tour of the historic city walls (built in the 13th Century to protect the city from foreign attacks), providing stunning views of the coastline and surrounding mountain landscape.

Some of you may feel like you are familiar with the surroundings. It’s probably because part of the Game of Thrones series has been shot in Dubrovnik; the fictional city of King’s landing. Fans can tour set locations.

Blue Grotto Cave

Dubrovnik’s most famous cave, The Blue Grotto, is a waterlogged sea cave located in a small bay called Balun. The sea cave is famous for its natural iridescent blue light, - a result of sunlight reflecting off the sandy ocean floor. Boat tours also make stops at other beaches and caves for snorkelling and swimming and conclude the tour at sunset on the beach.

Charter a Yacht to explore Croatia's islands

Cielo Aviation can help you arrange a private Yacht or sailing boat to explore Croatia's coastline and its islands exclusively and in full privacy.

Where to stay in Dubrovnik

It’s not hard to find luxury accommodation in the Croatian resort town of Dubrovnik. Not all properties are created equally though, especially in this town where so much revolves around beach life, the historic walled city and the attractions within.

Here are our two favourite hotels with access to both the tourist hotspots and the fantastic Adriatic coast:

Villa Dubrovnik

Villa Dubrovnik, one of the most exclusive hotels in Croatia, introduces an extraordinary level of luxury and style. Located on the cliffs above Dubrovnik's prestigious St. Jacob area and just a few minutes away from the fortified beauty of cultural landmarks, the newly rebuilt hotel welcomes you with luxurious accommodations and offers spectacular views of the Old City and the island of Lokrum.

Soothe yourself with the personalized treatments of the Villa Spa wellness club and enjoy access to a private beach against the backdrop of a beautiful, modernist hotel. Inside, the hotel features four restaurants and an alfresco bar overlooking the sea. Many rooms come with private plunge pools or Jacuzzis, but all of them face the Adriatic and feature the finest of appointments.

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, part of the Leading Hotels of the World, is located a few kilometres up the coast from the historic old town, far-separated from the bustle of the main city. In exchange for that distance, guests get major serenity and exclusivity.

The hotel offers a wide spectrum of resort-style features including long-term residences, magnificent hotel rooms, a broad range of gastronomic variety, an award-winning spa and wellness centre, multiple pools and a private beach. Those less interested in getting out every day could easily spend an entire vacation within the property.

By Private Jet to Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik Airport (LDDU, DBV) is the major international airport serving the city, it is conveniently located about 15km south of the centre and equipped to accommodate all types of aircraft.

The airport, which originally catered to European charter flights, is now developing its private aviation operations (private jets and helicopters).
